SJR Patterns is an Australian owned and operated family business which has been in operation since 1975.
Located in the North West of Melbourne our company has developed from a Pattern Making workshop into a leader of plastic manufacturing with a complete in house toolmaking service. Our range of cliental is diverse and unique, including Pharmaceutical, Medical, Chocolatiers, Food packaging, Cosmetics and Point of Sale to name a few.
With our highly skilled team, SJR Patterns will assist with product design from an initial concept to prototyping. Production of your product is the final step in our manufacturing process. We take pride in supporting our customers to make their dreams a reality, no matter how big or small.
Our premises are equipped with inline vacuum forming machines that can offer medium to high volume runs but are just as easily and quickly interchangeable for those smaller runs to suit our customers’ requirements. No job is too big or as importantly too small. We also offer large scale single sheet thermoforming and have the capacity to trim parts with our fully automated 5 axis CNC trimming machine. We offer state of the art precision trimming with our custom made trimming jigs to suit any part of any shape. This service can be set up for prototyping and also be utilised for high capacity production runs. High speed and fast acceleration of this machines equates to competitive pricing with precision finishes.
Our Manufacturing Expertise
Our 5 Axis CNC machine isn’t limited to thermoformed parts and can also be used as a fully functional CNC machining center with the capacity of machining any type of plastic along with timber and aluminum.
SJR Patterns also offers injection molding services with the capability of making tooling in house. This service offers our customers options when it comes to thermoforming vs injection molding. We can cater for small to medium volume runs of injection molded parts, working within your budget by accessing your needs and design to achieve the best outcome.
Our in house toolmaking facility offers our customers a “One Stop Shop” which allows us to meet our customers’ requirements immediately without the delay of a 3rd party.
